Lea Salonga to Perform a Charity Concert for PhilDev

Filipina’s VoicePH’s judge and Tony Winner Broadway singer and actress, Lea Salonga will be performing for a benefit concert for Philippine Development Foundation.  Salonga’s performance will kick off Filipino American History month, celebrated annually throughout October.

This is an evening of the annual fundraising gala for Philippine Development Foundation (Phildev), which will be held on October 5, 2013 at 8PM at San Francisco’s Nourse Auditorium. PhilDev is a U.S.-based non-profit organization that develops education, research and entrepreneurship programs that support initiatives to accelerate sustainable social and economic growth in the Philippines through science, high technology, and innovation.

Lea Salonga will be performing some Broadway favorites, a tribute to her idols Ella Fitzgerald and Barbra Streisand. As well as American contemporary pop and classic Filipino hits. She is best known for her role as Kim in Miss Saigon, for which she garnered the Tony, Olivier, Drama Desk, Outer Critics and Theatre World awards.

Ticket prices begin at $110, with a limited number of discount tickets ($55) available for students with valid IDs.

Limited VIP tickets are also available, which include a pre-concert reception and after party.
